Although we have several local hobby shops in the lower mainland, most do not cater to the RC racing scene. Here are the shops we do recommend if you want to go racing....
GRIPWORKS RC
On-Road - Trackside Gripworks is the best place to go for all things Touring Car and On-Road. The owner, Alex is a fast racer himself and can get your on-road program sorted with top of the line equipment. You can find Gripworks online but also at most of the local on-road races GripworksRC.com |
RCPITSTOP
Off-Road - Langley, BC If off-road is your thing, I recommend RCPitstop in Langley. For racing advice, you have to ask for Troy. Troy is an experienced racer and can help you with anything off-road (and most things on-road) related. Make sure you ask for Troy if you want someone that knows racing though |
MAPLE HOBBIES
On-Road - Surrey, BC Maple Hobbies is a newer hobby store in Surrey, BC. They offer some beginner level on-road kits and equipment (primarily Xpress RC). If you are on a tight budget and want to get started in on-road racing, check out Maple Hobbies and their Xpress RC kits. Maple Hobbies also offers Kyosho Mini-Z and have a small Mini-Z track in their store Facebook page |
CANADA HOBBIES
On-Road, Off-Road - Sooke, BC Canada Hobbies is owned and operated by fellow racers. They carry all of the popular racing brands as well as an assortment of rock crawling, bashing trucks and even boats. Check them out online or at their store in Sooke, BC CanadaHobbies.ca |
